It’s important to me - and probably to you too - that there is a good fit between us … a flow and positive rapport. All of my work is done one-on-one with clients. If we undertake a project together, we’ll be working closely for weeks or even months. I want it to be fun and rewarding for us both. I want to make a difference in your business and I take seriously the job of helping you share your gifts and make a positive and meaningful impact in the lives of your learners.
Let's Collaborate

On the farm where I live, we practice a regenerative life. To us a big part of that is recognizing the way everything feeds everything else and that there is such as thing as "just enough". With Wild Learning I aim for quality over quantity and I'm selective about the projects I take on. I'm going to give you everything I've got - it's important to me that you're up for the project too and sufficiently resourced in terms of your time, creativity and budget. If you're a purpose-driven small business in the early days or well into the journey, if you're aim is to make a difference in this troubled world, I'm here to help you.

Here are three ways to explore if collaborating with me is a good fit for you:
1. Check out some of my verified recent work.
Browse through my Upwork profile with an intro video from me, client testimonials and project summaries. Many people find me and hire me through this platform. I'm rated in the top 1% and have been awarded the coveted Expert Vetted badge in addition to a 100% client success rate.
2. Try my starter kit
Do you have a vision for your learning business or line of business but aren't sure where to get started (or if you're ready to hire someone to help you build a course)? Invest a few minutes to as many hours as your creative muse requires to reflect on my Three on Six: Questions to Ponder Before Designing Your Learning Program free download.
3. Let's have a no-obligation conversation.
We'll get together over Zoom, talk about your project, explore if we're a good fit, and, bonus, you'll probably get at least one short story about recent antics at the farm. These are fun, 30-minute conversations - no sales pitch, just a chance to explore and talk budget parameters.

What Would A Project Together Involve?
Most entrepreneurs who contact me aren't instructional designers - they're eager to find out more about the course development process (and sometimes feel a bit overwhelmed with all the advice they've been given. Most instructional designers use essentially the same steps. I've refined mine based on years of experience specifically working with heart-centred small business owners and solopreneurs (the process varies if you're say working with an HR team to build an onboarding course). My approach is based on three guiding principles that inform everything I do as an instructional designer. These principles are brought to life through a simple 5-step course development process (with one step that's optional depending on where you're at).

STEP 1: DEFINE YOUR COURSE BODY OF KNOWLEDGE (BOK)
You have experience in your field and perhaps a model, framework or approach that you've developed. Our first step is to review your body of knowledge and decide on the specific focus or segment of your BOK this course will cover. Teaching too much at once overwhelms. Let's figure out the best place to start.

STEP 2: CONDUCT A "BETA TEST" MASTERCLASS
This is an optional step for those who haven't had an ongoing relationship with their target audience. We'll create a masterclass (or salon or conversation café) on a segment of your proposed course BOK, invite your people and hear directly from them. This helps to ensure you're building something that will be meaningful to your people.

STEP 3: CREATE YOUR COURSE BLUEPRINT
Like a building blueprint, this is a rich and detailed design plan for your course that includes things like the learning journey, learner needs, outcome statements, as well as a breakdown of the modules and micro-lessons. We also decide on the technology that you'll use.

STEP 4: WRITE THE STORYBOARDS
Using the blueprint, I write your course content including what you'll share and how you'll share it (the specific transformational engagement strategies you're using). This could include video scripts, interactive content, participant guides, etc.

STEP 5: PRODUCE YOUR COURSE CONTENT
In this final step we bring everything together and produce the finished course files. If you'd like help loading and optimizing them on a learning platform, we can include this too.
When we agree on a project, we agree on how much help you’d like. We'll make commitments based on milestone agreements and at any point in the process you can opt to take what we’ve created in the previous step and complete the course on your own or with other talent.

The best part is that through our work together, you'll also get first-hand, personalized instruction on how to design and deliver transformational learning ... it's like a course within a project!
