Like Forest School, for Adults
Do you hide a kind of inner turmoil with a busy life? Do you yearn for belonging, for days that are more rooted in something alive, yet often feel emotionally drained or unsure of what you have to offer life?
You’re not alone. So many of us carry cultural teachings that separate humans from nature, the wildness of place and the more-than-humans we share home with.
We're a mother-daughter social enterprise rooted on the unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe. Through equine-inspired programs shaped by our ongoing relationship with the herd, land, and wildlife, we guide participants to learn from nature to uncover and transform patterns of disconnection. Our mission is to reimagine communal relationships with place, people, and our more-than-human kin, fostering regenerative ways of living that nurture diversity and well-being for all.
Intrigued? We have a unique invitation for you.

Forest schools, first developed in Denmark in the 1950s for children, foster a deep connection to place, encourage risk-taking, and nurturing holistic development. Richard Louv's The Nature Principle highlights how relationships with nature can restore personal wellness for adults too and build smarter, more sustainable communities. Studies show significant benefits, including lower stress, improved relational skills, and better mental health. Our approach to Forest School for adults is grounded in extensive research and over 11,000 hours of hands-on experience with the herd and wildlife.

A Vision of Kinship & Connection
Hi! We're Tina and Lia
A mother-daughter collaboration on a mission to reimagine a communal relationship to place, each other and our more-than-human kin. Our shared goal is to foster the long process of liberating non-Indigenous people from destructive conditioning and explore the difference we can make in our work, families, and communities.
Together we care for the land, horses, and sheep we live with, and support one another in fostering and sharing the unique gifts and talents we each have to offer. Our love for this place asks different things from us and calls to our hearts in related but distinct ways.
Lia’s passion comes from the soil, plants, and sheep, working with them to make and bake unique, small-batch, hand-crafted edibles, preserves and felted goods. She brings our offerings out into the community as the driving force behind the Flying Moon Farm market booth.
Tina’s passion is partnering with the horses and wildscape to co-facilitate holistic, reflective and relational nature-based experiences for adults.
Our unique approach is based on a mountain of academic research, over 30 years of experience in adult learning, and over 11,000 hours of practice with the herd and wildlife we live with.
Discover Your Thread of Aliveness
So many of us are yearning for belonging, aliveness, and connection. By opening up to new ways of relating with the animate life around us, we can learn to notice and follow our own unique thread of aliveness as part of a vibrant tapestry that restores our relationship with self and others and acts as a balancing force not only for our own life but for the life and well-being of our communities and the places we live.
Imagine the power of radical connection
We hold a vision of communities actively engaged in practices of regeneration, where unique relationships of kinship enliven our days, where we are equipped with tools and practices to navigate uncertainty and support one another during whatever's to come.
